Pashmina: The word Pashmina is derived from the persian word pashm. Pashm means “wool”. It refers to the inner coat of hair on Himalayan mountain goats. Pashmina comes from the inner coat of hair of the Himalayan goats called Capra Hircus. One goat can deliver 5 to 8 ounces of Pashmina per year. These goats naturally shed their hair. That hair is woven into wonderful unique and intricate weaves to produce gorgeous Pashmina Scarves, Stoles, Shawls, and Wraps. The Pashmina fibre is approximately 15 microns in thickness.
